The consular office of the Consulate General provides assistance to Italian citizens who find themselves in difficulty during their stay in Nigeria. Compatriots in Lagos State or in the jurisdiction of the Consulate General can contact the Consulate General of Italy in Lagos for initial assistance, whose contact details can be found under the voices Contact and The Consular Network.
Possible interventions include assistance to prisoners and those under arrest, economic assistance, assistance in the event of theft or loss of documents, assistance in finding compatriots, repatriations.
Furthermore, pursuant to current provisions, the consular office can also provide assistance – for specific interventions – to citizens of the European Union.
