**** Appointment Family Reunification ****

ImportantNotice

Starting from May 12, the way to book an appointment for family reunification changes.

To book an appointment, it is necessary to follow these steps:

  • Register an account on the Prenot@mi portal. To register an account, you will need to fill out a form and provide the following information: First Name, Last Name, Place and Date of Birth, Email, Address, and Phone Number. Once the information is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided, which will contain a link to confirm the account activation.
  • Once the account has been successfully activated, send an email to consgenlagos.protocollo@esteri.it using the same address* used to register on the Prenot@mi portal, attaching the following documents:
    • in case of family reunification with a citizen of a non-EU nationality (e.g., Nigerian): a copy of the Nulla Osta issued by the competent Prefecture. If the family unit consists of multiple people, it will be necessary to indicate in the text of the email the personal details (name, surname, and date of birth) of all applicants and submit a copy of the nulla osta for each member of the group**.
    • in the case of family reunification with an Italian or EU citizen: a copy of the identity document of the inviting citizen. If the family unit consists of multiple people, it will be necessary to indicate in the text of the email the personal details (name, surname, and date of birth) of all applicants**
  • After sending the email, as soon as our operator has verified the requirements, a confirmation will be sent by email indicating the date and time of the appointment.

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

For a comprehensive list of documents to submit, please refer to the following link.

Please notice that it is no longer necessary, as it was in the past, to make an additional appointment at the consular office for the legalization of documents. You can request the legalization of the documents required simultaneously with the submission of the visa application. In order to proceed with the legalization, it will be necessary to authenticate each document at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja and have the document translated into Italian by one of the certified translators. All applicants, including minors, must appear in person at the appointment, regardless of whether it is mandatory to submit their fingerprints.

If the request for the DNA test has already been made, please include a copy of the request form in the booking email.

* Requests from an address not registered on the Prenot@ami portal will not be considered.

** For each family group, it is sufficient to register a single account and send a single email.
