UGO BONI<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Born in Lecco (Italy) on 23 September 1975. He graduated in Economics at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan in 2000. In 2001, he attended a Master in International Affairs at ISPI in Milan.<\/p>\n

He complied with national military service in 2002 at CEMISS (Center of Military Strategic Studies).<\/p>\n

He started the diplomatic career in 2003 at the Department of Development Cooperation in the Technical Central Unit and subsequently in the Secretariat of the Director General.<\/p>\n

From 2008 to 2012, he served as First Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission at the Italian Embassy in Astana (Kazakhstan).<\/p>\n

In 2012, he moved to the Embassy in Minsk (Belarus) in the same capacity as First Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission. In 2014 he was promoted Counsellor.<\/p>\n

Returning to Rome in 2016, he was assigned to the Policy Planning Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.<\/p>\n

In 2018 he was appointed Deputy Head of Mission to the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok (Thailand).<\/p>\n

In 2020 he was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Italy.<\/p>\n

Since 23 August 2022 he is the Consul General of Italy in Lagos.<\/p>\n

He speaks English, French, Russian and Spanish.<\/p>\n
