From today the new call for prizes and contributions to translation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is available at this link. Italian and foreign publishing houses will be able to submit their applications, for the benefit of the foreign publishing house with which a rights transfer contract has been signed or – another element of interest that the 2024 call highlights – a letter of intent.
The 2024 call, in view of the Frankfurt Buchmesse in which Italy is the guest country of honour, pays particular attention to the German language, which is given priority.
The new translation call will expire on April 24th. As always, applications will be submitted through the Italian Consulate General or the Italian Embassy in the country where the foreign publishing house that will publish the book in translation is based.
