The Office of Studies offers information and advice on enrolment in Italian schools and universities and issues the necessary statements of equal value for qualifications earned in schools and universities within consular jurisdictions and recognition in Italy of university study and the assignment of scholarships.
Studying at Italian Universities – Pre-enrolment procedures
Interested students can access the Portal “UNIVERSITALY” and fill out the relevant “pre-enrollment application” which must then be submitted to the Italian Diplomatic Mission of the place of residence once digitally validated by the university of reference.
Nigerian students must refer to the Consulate General of Italy in Lagos; while the Nigerian students from the States of F.C.T., Kaduna, Kano, Niger, Plateau and Katsina must refer to the Embassy of Italy in Abuja (consolare.abuja@esteri.it)

Recognition of foreign qualifications and Declaration of value
Information regarding the recognition of foreign qualifications in Italy is provided by the Italian Information Centre on Academic Mobility and Equivalence (CIMEA). The establishment of CIMEA corresponds to the commitments undertaken by our Country by signing and ratifying the Lisbon Convention on the recognition of qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region.
